My new collection of the weird and wonderful Thai music which grace my presence. Follow to discover things a new.
Yesterday my mom posted a picture on Facebook of my 5 year old brother Sam wearing a pair of shoes he picked out for his first day of preschool.
She explained to him in the store that they were really made for girls. Sam then told her that he didn’t care and that “ninjas can wear pink shoes…
Sam went to preschool and got several compliments on his new shoes. Not one kid said anything negative toward him about it.
However, my mom received about 20 comments on the photo from various family members saying how “wrong” it is and how “things like this will affect him socially” and, put most eloquently by my great aunt, “that shit will turn him gay.”
My mom then deleted the photo and told Sam that he can wear whatever he wants to preschool, that it’s his decision. If he wants to wear pink shoes, he can wear pink shoes.
Sam then explained to her that he didn’t like them because they were pink, he liked them because they were “made out of zebras” and zebras are his favorite animal :)
So I’m not one to join the bandwagon of insulting religious groups of extremist nature, but one trend I have had to follow this New Year’s Eve is that of Twitter’s @GodsWordIsLaw and his inculcated follower @LoveGod50.
Revealed to me by the great Ricky Gervais, the leader of the ‘christians for a moral world’ blogspot - Keith as he is known - proclaimed quite dramatically that the Rapture would happen upon New Year’s Eve.
I know its not the only one and certainly not the last Rapture claim but this one brought great interest from the follower @LoveGod50 - or Patrick - who seems to be a regular guy obviously involved with quite the 'church'. I feel sorry for him i really do, that people can still be so indoctrinated by people who are quite the fanatics. I will demonstrate this story by a list of tweets in chronological order:
Beware the rapture, New Years Eve.
Only the faithful will be saved #RaptureNYE
@bjghopkins God spoke to the faithful tonight and gave us details. I am not at liberty to divulge.
Curious… as one so concerned for rapture not to share this information, which I’m sure would have been intended for public divulgation.
GOD has spoken to @GodsWordIsLaw! I trust his words because he is a true follower of God. I can’t wait until the rapture! It’s nearly time.
There is no chance of the #RaptureNYE NOT happening because God is all-knowing and if he has spoken, then we are to trust him 100%
Muslims and homosexuals - your doom is imminent #RaptureNYE
There is a nasty rumor going around that I’m going to commit suicide on NYE. Not true. #RaptureNYE is very real. God is coming!!!!
#RaptureNYE is real and coming. Be ready.
I haven’t even thought of the notion that there will be no rapture. I trust Keith’s word. #RaptureNYE
2 day absence. Preparing for #RaptureNYE. Will try to tweet just before the big event.
And this is where reality begins to kick in…
Fear you wicked pillocks, for your doom is imminent. #RaptureNYE
@rickygervais It’s too late you pillock, Keith and I tried to warn you but you mocked us. Hell awaits Mr Gervais.
Atheists are like giant pimples that just won’t go away.
Rapture Eve, my excitement has never been greater. God is coming faithful Christians! #RaptureNYE
I would presume #RaptureNYE will be based on the US timezones considering most of the faithful reside here.
It’s time to say farewell, it’s time for eternal greatness! Goodbye and God bless! #RaptureNYE
Still here, any ideas Keith?
Still here, still waiting. #RaptureNYE
Keith, where is he?
Here we go…. #RaptureNYE
I’m still holding out hope for #RaptureNYE. I cannot afford for this not to happen.
God works in mysterious ways. He has a reason for everything and we must put our faith in his judgement.
@LoveGod50 Thank you brother. Rapture or no rapture, my faith remains intact. No amount of Atheist brainwashing will ever change that.
So after this failure for the rapture to happen, poor Patrick began tweeting how he couldn’t believe how foolish he was to follow such false prophesy… unfortunately they were deleted. He soon after recalled his allegations and fell into the grasps of Keith once again. In Patrick’s defense, he quickly forgave Keith and hoped that God would too for Christians are about forgiveness, a very honorable move for someone who has not only put himself but his own family on the line for a false prophet as well.
Im not one to want to hurl abuse at Keith and his failed prophesy, I am in actual fact quite sad he is so convinced of himself, its just not healthy. To pull poor people into this hype is very dangerous. Another deleted tweet by Patrick regarding quitting his job and canceling everything ready for his Rapture.
So a few last tweets to show how it all wrapped up:
@GodsWordIsLaw Today has showed me just how poisoned and sickened this world truly is, work is needed in 2012!
God will send for us when he’s ready. Keep the faith.
#RaptureNYE Confirmed: Gods arrival has been delayed to a later date which is unknown. Keith has not Lied, reason for the delay is unknown.
I just want to clear the air. I only run two accounts - this one and@CFAMW. Atheists need to stop with the lies.
There is no evil greater than an Atheist peddling Anti-Christian bigotry. #DevilIncarnate
Once again the Gaytheists fail to answer the question and hurtle insults toward me. You can’t deny which that you know.
Only God knows when the Rapture is coming. But have no doubt - it will come in due time.
So there we have it. I think he dodged the bullet pretty well before he claimed hacking. The sorry state is that @LoveGod50 has been so indoctrinated by Keith there will be no easy escape. One will deny the obvious to save his own faith. See I doubt its his own fault he became so transfixed with all of this.
As a response to this “hacking” Keith has posted two articles on his Blogspot, explaining everything so we’re all clear right? It was the Homosexual Atheist Liberals who hacked his personal and his churches account right? Just so we are clear.
I hope @LoveGod50 reads this and sees that following a religion is fine, just dont get trapped by very powerful people. It may be like leaving a loved one, its hard to deal with at the time, but we can all safely say we are happier afterwards. I was lucky, I go out of a very similar 'church' when I was young. I know how its. I know its hard to escape.
In conclusion I would like to share Keith’s 3 Step program on how to deal with Atheist & Homosexual cyber-stalkers:
1. Reply to cyber-stalker with honest and reasonable debate.
2. If they insult you, pull out some scripture on them. Alternatively block them.
3. If they continue to harass you, contact police.
Smart move. Keith.
